Akron Zoo hosts new event, Breakfast with the Bears | Events
AKRON, OH - In celebration of the opening of the zoo’s newest expansion, Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge, the zoo will be hosting a brand new event, Breakfast with the Bears. The event will take place Saturday, September 14 before the zoo opens from 8 – 10 a.m. The event includes a breakfast buffet and more.
When visitors arrive they will enjoy a full breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and more. The zoo’s curator, Eric Albers, will give a presentation on the zoo’s bears, Jackson & Cheyenne, which will include how the bears came to call Akron home and how they are adjusting to life at Grizzly Ridge. Then visitors will get to visit Grizzly Ridge and the Education Department will be on hand to teach visitors about the zoo’s newest arrivals.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. The cost of the event is $16 for Akron Zoo member adults and $13 for Akron Zoo member children. Non-member adults are $22 and non-member children are $19. Reservations can be made at www.akronzoo.org or by calling (330) 375-2550 ext. 7231.
