Police: Man causes crash while texting, driving
AKRON, OH (WOIO)- A 31-year-old Hartville man accused of causing a crash while texting and driving.
Police say Peter J. Hooley was texting and driving on Waterloo Road and caused a rear-end crash by striking the vehicle in front of him at over 50mph.
The crash resulted in a serious head injury to one juvenile victim and a skull fracture to another victim.
Hooley is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular assault.
