Man accused of fatally shooting hospitalized wife charged with murder
AKRON, OH (WOIO)- The 66-year-old Massillon man accused of fatally shooting his wife inside Akron General Hospital was back in court on Wednesday.
John Wise is now charged with aggravated murder.
Wise also appeared in court on Tuesday for an initial hearing. The judge set bond at $1M on Tuesday, and kept the amount the same during Wednesday's hearing.
Wise is accused of shooting his wife, Barbara, around 9 p.m. Saturday night. Barbara was hospitalized with a life-threatening illness when she was shot in the head. She died on Monday.
The Summit County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.
Wise will be back in court on August 22nd.
