Kasich designates June as fatherhood month in Ohio | Politics

Gov. John R. Kasich has issued a resolution designating the month of June as Fatherhood Month in Ohio. 

Society is becoming increasingly aware that a father’s active involvement in his child’s life contributes to higher self-esteem, healthier social skills and a reduced risk of troubled behavior for that child. 

By establishing June as Fatherhood Month, Gov. Kasich encourages fathers across the state to embrace the important parenthood role they play by supplying the emotional and financial support their children need.
