Akron Zoo’s Snow Bowl fundraiser a big success

AKRON, OH - The Akron Zoo’s 24th annual fundraiser, Snow Bowl, which was held January 29, 2011 at Stonehedge Family Fun Center, raised over $30,000 for the animals at the Zoo. Snow Bowl is the Zoo’s 2nd largest fundraiser.

Snow Bowl is a target score bowling tournament and the winning team must predict their score ahead of time. Coming within one pin of their predicted score, and winning the tournament, was Chemstress Consultant Co. Strike That, a team from FedEx Custom Critical, came in second place and The House of LaRose came in third place.

Eighty-six teams participated in this year’s event, including area organizations and businesses.
